1. From Kuna Yala to Chiriqui High Lands -
February 2009 Pictures taken by Fabio Trujillo
Some times it is magic !!!
How else can this trip be described ? Put up together by an international tour
operator, Adventures in Good Company, it brough together by chance
neighbors from New York that did not knew each other !
And now, after sharing some memorable times together, camping and
sea kayaking in Kuna Yala, hiking and exploring Chiriqui High Lands, they came
back home made life long friends.
It all as to do with the enchantment of Panama and traveling with Adventures in
Good Company.
It was a pleasure showing you our country and look forward to take you further
next year.
2. Kuna Yala Sea Kayaking Expedition,
February 2009
My dear Javier,
Now that we are back in the cold and settled in. I wanted to take time to thank
you for our wonderful trip with your company. The people all over the country
were very polite, helpful and made us feel right at home. We had heard that they
don't really care for Americans much, but we found that statement very incorrect.
You do a wonderful job with setting up camping with the Kuna Indians on their
island and please do not get rid of Rudolfo the chef. He did an amazing job. So
many good meals, too many to mention but the coconut rice he made I have tried
to make it and it doesn't taste the same, not even close and the rice pudding
was outstanding. I could go on and on about he and Nelson but on to other things.
Also I wanted to mention as we were on the island with the ship wreck in the
water. I was standing by my kayak, the blue one with Aventuras Panama on the
side and a gentleman come up to Joe and I , introduced himself saying he was
from Finland, had purchased 2000 acres along the Mamoni River where you I
suppose with a rafting group, not sure but anyway he had met/knew you and found
you as a nice interesting man. I jumped in with agreeing with him. So that was
good advertisement having the signage on the kayak.
I have left out several wonderful things about the trip but after all I am a
women and cannot say anything in 20 words or less.
Thanks again for all you have done. Hope to see you again if you agree.
Joy Lovio
Note: Joy and her group, experienced sea kayakers from Michigan, USA, had
paddled in the Amazon, Osa Peninsula/Costa Rica, Belize, Galapagos, Ecuador and
they all were very very impressed with Kuna Yala and Panama !

I was very happy to had taken my 14 year old son to the same place I
climbed at his age. The stone still there, hidden from tourists,
Boquete does has changed !
